Company History

Tindal O&P Associates began in April 2002 with an emphasis on providing local orthotic and prosthetic care to the Manhattan, Junction City and surrounding communities. Through a contractual relationship with Mercy Regional Hospital, we began building a practice within the community.  We were on-call 24 hours for any orthotic or prosthetic urgency.  The service included inpatient services with a guaranteed 48 hour turnaround from the initial consultation.  We began marketing our capabilities and scheduling appointments during evening hours as I continued to work full time at Irwin Army Community Hospital.  From the Mercy West location, Tindal O&P became known for exceptional service, quick turnaround time and our quality designs.  We utilized industry networks to grow our services while we expanded our footprint in the communities surrounding Manhattan.  Consultants from other parts of the country with knowledge of prosthetics were hired to grow our prosthetic program.  We quickly evolved into one of the top O&P companies in Kansas and the Midwest.  Our temporary location at Mercy West PT/OT was quickly limiting growth potential and we needed an onsite lab for adjustments and general fabrication.  We moved to our current location in the Candlewood Shopping center off Kimball Ave in Manhattan in 2005.  This nearly 4000sqft facility enabled us to begin billing insurance, expand our patient exam rooms and create our very own full service fabrication lab.  I added two other practitioners to my staff as well as administrative personnel to assist with scheduling and billing. In total, our staff consists of three board certified practitioners and one therapeutic shoe fitter for the clinical. We have a billing/office manager and receptionist to handle the day to day clinic schedules and collections.  I also have full time technicians onsite for orthotic and prosthetic fabrication and adjustments.  This helped reduced fabrication delays and continued to improve quality.  Currently we are in the process of expanding yet again to our Wamego clinic located inside the hospital PT/OT department.  Our hours of operation for this location will be by appointment only and on-call 24 hours.
